The physical and electrical characteristics of polypropylene insulated paired telephone wires, as compared with polyethylene insulated wire are described. It is demonstrated that the physical characteristics of paired telephone wires insulated with polypropylene are improved over their polyethylene counterparts. The transmission and electrical characteristics can be designed to match those of the polyethylene insulated telephone in weight and have smaller diameters than the polyethylene insulated wires, but which still fit into the existing telephone systems.
